Okay, I'll try and answer all of your questions; let me know if I forget anything. I purchased my Surface a little over a year ago, so you'll have to check current prices. I have a Surface Pro Three, intel I7 processor, 8 GB RAM and a 250 GB SSD drive now running Windows 10. It does not come with a keyboard, but you can purchase a keyboard cover; last I knew, that was $129. I use the Lobgitech k810 which is a Bluetooth keyboard. The keys are spaced nicely and it's easy to type on. I did buy the keyboard cover and have used it when I need to charge the other keyboard, or if for some reason, I don't get response from the keyboard which is rare. There is one USB port, but you can get a USB hub to expand available ports. Depending on what system you get, you will likely spend anywhere from $500 to $2000 which is the absolute top of the line system. I think that covers everything.
