I have a friend that has a file with all of her passwords and other
log-in information. She copies hers from that list in order to make
sure it is correct.

we should have the choice to speak or not speak the keys you press in

It's done this way for security. Think about it a sighted person
couldn't
see it either it would appear as stars or dots.

WE does the same thing, and as much as I don't like not knowing what I am
typing, I like the security of knowing I am typing my password in the
correct field.
