Hi Rod, It must be my os then as I am running wwindows 7.
'll try it on my windows 10 desktop. My friend bob has windows 7 and has the exact same problem with drop box. Seems to be pointing in the windows 7 direction. I know they are dropping support for it shortly. Thanks for checking, I'm quite sure windows 7 may be the problem. IGood luck. It is 82.4.155. It was updated yesterday according to Add/Remove programs. I'm running Windows 10 Home 64-bit. I have a desktop icon for DropBox. When I press Enter on it, it opens my personal DropBox folder. which displays just like any other folder on my system. And, within this folder are all my shared folders, that is, folders I have shared with other specific people, like you and I had, at one time. I don't know what else I can say except that you could uninstall and then reinstall the desktop app and log in again. The key thing to note is that the DropBox desktop application is the most easily accessible way to manage sharing files on a daily basis. Smile When I open drop box. The page is blank. The only way I can read anything is use the arrow keys on the numpad. Tabbing doesn't work either. To select a named folder I use the arrow keys on the numpadto first select a named folder. Then the arrow ke to the right of control. Those keys don't speak but the named folder changes with the up or down arrow keys. The numpad arrow keys don't change the named folder in any way. I hope that makes sense? Let's try to go slowly in order to diagnose this problem. Do you have an icon called DropBox on your desktop? If you press Enter on this icon, it should open the DropBox folder which should display exactly like any other folder on your system. That view no longer works for me. I have to use the numpad arrow keys to view the drop box folder. I am unable to paste any files in drop box, even though I have selected a sub folder. I can't open the folders either. They changed the interface. I was able to arrow down press enter on a folder and either copy or paste in a folder or file. I can't do that any more. Do you not still have the DropBox desktop software installed, which creates a personal folder, normally as a child of your user folder? And then your shared folders, which you set up with fellow DropBox users, are children of your personal folder. Also, you can view your DropBox account on the web, with the browser and screen reader of your choice. Hope this helps, Rod Sent from Outlook for Windows -----Original Message----- From: Talk <talk-bounces+rod_hutton=hotmail....@lists.window-eyes.com> On Behalf Of bjcolt via Talk Sent: October 3, 2019 7:51 AM To: 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' <talk@lists.window-eyes.com> Cc: bjcolt <bjc...@blueyonder.co.uk> Subject: changes in drop box Hi List, I just noticed today that drop box has been updated. I for some reason can't read the drop box page where my folders are kept. However I can read them with the numpad keys. I this a fixable problem? I was able to read the page with the arrow keys no problem with nvda.
