best way to avoid misconceptions is to write some sentences in the
wiki. If you're looking for a feature, you simply type "lawyer" in the
wiki-search-field and get usually an answer. E.g. in this case:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Lawyer
if you don't get an answer: use a custom tag (or better, ask in the
list if someone knows a tag you didn't find and step 2 use a custom
tag).
