Hey, we're missing most of the hiking routes in Spain, and I'd love to see more of them in the OSM cycling/hiking map. Here are some ideas for routes: http://www.fmm.es/actividades/Senderismo/doc/Mapa_senderos_OPT.pdf http://senderisme.turismedecatalunya.com/en/lasrutas.php?c=2 http://www.baixemporda-costabrava.org/en/turisme/331 There are also a couple of biking routes if people would like that more. > Another related question relates to language; in that part of Spain, would > it be sufficient to learn a bit of Spanish, or would Catalan be needed? Catalonian is not really needed, specially if you're a foreigner. Most people at tourism-related places in the city or in the coast can speak english.
