Maybe OSMdata could be used to make auto-generated nice pages for businesses and other POIs. A little map, telephone number, opening hours, webpage link, a picture if it's connected to wikipedia, or if it has an image=* tag, and so on. Then when search engines indexes it, people will get that as a page for their local shops. And you can edit it on the spot.
