While it is true that in principle this could be derived from the way geometry, in reality for the use case for which the tag was designed, the geometry is typically not available in enough detail (in the case of logging vehicles there are further considerations too). Simon PS: while OT, I would suggest not relying on a navigation device to determine how fast you should drive/ride on an unknown stretch of road -particularly- on a motorcycle.
