Sharing a node should make no difference to the real world or a router's perception of it.

With separate nodes, you travel along the roundabout way for a small distance (as you do in real life).  With a shared node, you don't. They're topologically different.

Again, the way containing the shared node has junction=roundabout in it. You are entering & exiting a roundabout
