That's also why I've always emphasized that the link for OSMF-talk email list SHOULD be accessible for everyone to know it and read it (even if not signed to that mail list) to be aware of what's going inside OSMF talks. Not some hidden link in one in a thousand of wiki pages (I forgot it again). It SHOULD be listed in the official LISTINFO, publicly: https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo While not, OSMF looks not much transparent for the simple collaborator.
