on the contrary, it probably matters ! I'm not surprised that a tag that is incomprehensible outside its country of origin is not rendered by a style that does not come from its country. Despite all the explanations, at worst, it should have been a value in cycleway, for ex cycleway=bicycle_road (or =road ?)
