Danel and Maria are pleased to announce a new venue for their Saturday night "Bailemos Tango" milongas here in New York. Starting this Saturday Aug 11th. then again on Aug. 25th and Sept.1 the milonga will be held at the Pierre Dulaine Dance Club located at 25 W. 31st St. 4th fl. (between 5th Ave. and Broadway). It is centrally located in our growing downtown Tango District. It is located within two or three blocks of subway lines ( F, N&R, and 6 trains ) only a few blocks from Macy's and Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. This is a beautiful space with a great dance club atmosphere and an elegant setting for the tango. The dance starts at 9:30 PM and goes until 3:00 AM. People usually dress up so if you're visiting NYC, toss a coat and tie in your suitcase men, and ladies, some fishnet hose (optional) ;-) along with those heels. There is always great live music by the New York Tango Trio with guest artists sitting in from time to time such as Tito Castro and Alberto Quiroga, bandoneons and Pancho Navarro, guitar, Ruben de la Torre, piano, Leonardo Suarez Paz, violin and others. Many great dancers and musicians from Buenos Aires often drop by when in town. Donation is $15. and includes plenty of refreshments and good dancers.
