Dear Tango Friends,

New Details: Since my last email, a few small details have been changed or
added for the Portland TangoFest. They are:
1.. Thriftlodge: Phone number for Thriftlodge (2 blocks from the Viscount) is
(503) 234-8411 (I forgot to include it). Mention TangoFest at the Viscount and
receive $10 discount (which comes to $45 for single and $53 for double plus
tax).
2.. Priceline: Several attendees have used PriceLine to book their hotel and
have paid $25-$45 for a room in a major chain hotel. If you use it, book in
the "Downtown" area which is about 2 miles from the Viscount.
3.. Car pooling to milongas: We will have a bulletin board in the
registration area to try and help coordinate rides to the milongas. (However,
neither I nor the Tango Gods can guarantee a ride!!!) If you have a car and
are willing to volunteer, there will be a small form in your registration
packet and next to the bulletin board that you can fill out, post on the board
and offer a ride to Wednesday, Friday, and/or Saturday evening milongas. If
you need a ride, please check the bulletin board and sign up with one of the
volunteer drivers.
4.. PayPal: You can now pay for your registration for the workshops with
PayPal (i.e., secure site for VISA, MasterCard, Discover, & American Express).
(See http://claysdancestudio.com/PDXTangoFest/index.html and look near the
bottom of the page for the button that says "Buy Now".) If you pay for all
workshops before Oct 11, cost is $225 (and $255 afterwards). You do not have
to pre register, however, doing so will save time and avoid having to stand in
line.
5.. Instructor changes: If you have an old flyer, note the minor changes.
Nestor, Patricia, and Jose Garafalo will not be able to attend. Their classes
are being taught by various other instructors. Tom Stermitz, and Chan &
Eugenia Park have been added. See complete schedule below.

Call 206-729-7268 or email [email protected] if you have any questions.
Thanks...hope we see you there....clay
