No plans for Thanksgiving weekend?  Why not spend it in one of the
largest tango communities outside of Buenos Aires? The Bay Area
Argentine Tango Association along with the milonga organizers would like
to welcome you to San Francisco for a fun weekend of tango dancing and
turkey.

           THURSDAY - Turkey Tango at the Mariposa Argentine Tango Club
at the Verdi.  Victor supplies the Turkey and              trimmings.
Bring something to share - dessert or wine.  Dinner starts at 7:30, the
milonga at 9, dance that turkey                  off until midnight or

            FRIDAY - The Bay Area Argentine Tango Association hosts the
Once in a Blue Moon Milonga November 29                 from 9pm - 12:30
am.  The Bay Area's Stellar DJ's Ruddy Zelaya and Roberto Riobo will
keep the crowd                         dancing with personally selected
music. Argentine wine and food,  raffle for great prizes, dedication of
the new                     BATango website and logo, announcement of
contest winners,  and more.  $13 for BATango members, $15 for
       non-members (tickets at the door $2.00 more), entrance includes
1 raffle ticket (you can buy more at the milonga)             Blue Moon
will be held at the Lake Merritt Sailing Center overlooking Lake
Merritt.  This is one of the most                     spectacular views

           SATURDAY - The last Saturday of the month you can dance at
The Danceasy in El Cerrito.  DJ Emilio Flores                 along with
a large beautiful dance floor make this one of the nicest venues in the
East Bay.  There is a lesson before             the milonga.  Please

           In San Francisco you can dance at the Golden Gate Yacht
Club.  Glenn Corteza is the DJ. There is a lesson before             the

           SUNDAY - We dance till we drop in this city, The Bay Area is
honored to have Omar Vega as a Maestro in                     Residence.
This internationally known maestro is calling the Bay Area his home.
On Sunday afternoons he hosts a             matinee milonga in one of
the most architectually stunning buildings - the Lake Merritt Dance
Center.  200 Grand                 Avenue.  Omar teaches 2 classes from
12 - 2.  The milonga starts at 2 and goes until 5.  For more information
