Yes all of 20 or 30 seconds. In BA it works fine because everyone (customarily) uses the cabeceo. The woman can avoid the gaze of suitors and wait for whom she prefers. Elsewhere, guys can leave their partner at the end of a tanda and march straight over to the next partner THEY choose. Makes it very difficult in our polite culture for them to refuse, even for a rest. For that, they have to leave the room.
