Langsung saja pak. Sore Senin tadi saya mencoba mendelete account
root di server ubuntu saya. Tujuan awalnya sih supaya root-nya tidak
ada, kan saya bisa maintenance dari sudo. Celakanya..., setelah root
terdelete dengan perintah "sudo userdel root" semua perintah dengan
sudo tidak mau jalan lagi dengan pesan "no entry passwd root",
termasuk membuat account root.
Note: direktori /root beserta isinya masih utuh, karena saya pakai
userdell bukan delluser

1. Boot kedalam mode single
- jika pake lilo, tekan tab saat ada tulisan LILO. Kemudian ketik
linux single trus di ENTER
- jika pake grub, tekan e pada menu kernel. Namun ada beberapa grub
yang di password maka yang ditekan huruf p lalu isikan password,
kemudian baru tekan huruf e. Langkah selanjutnya adalah mengarahkan
pointer ke baris KERNEL, kemudian tekan huruf e. Sisipkan kata
single<space> di depan kata "root=". lalu tekan ENTER dan langsung tekan
huruf b untuk booting.
2. Edit file /etc/passwd saat telah mencapai command prompt single mode.
