YES! (without the ognl-binding part). I wanted to suggest replacing PropertyHelper with OGNL but forgot about it..if this can be done without losing any required functionality, PLEASE let's do this. I might even help, if you would accept the patches. Alternatively, what about XPath? The jakarta folks have a nice XPath pakage, but I don't know whether it's complete/functional/fast enough.
