I would like to add my vote of support to Geoff on this.

Tapestry is a very feature rich and deep framework, with a significant
learning curve for new developers. I would like to see effort go toward
improving Tapestrys documentation, with a focus on the Tutorial, to ease
new and junior developers into Tapestry.

When I first assessed Tapestry, I spent 2 days reading and digesting the
Developers Guide. When reading the Developers Guide I knew I was onto
something revolutionary, but I believe your average developer is not willing
to spend 2 days learning something new.

I would also like to see additional Tapestry Components. For me the big
differentiation between Tapestry and Struts (or any other Command pattern
Web Application Framework), are the Tapestry Components. With otther
JSP/Tag based frameworks simply cant do what Tapestry can withoug a mess of
code. Tapestry can bind JavaScript to Components giving you a very
interactive Web Application. Using Microsoft HTC behaviours you can do
extrodinary things with Tapestry and Javascript/ DOM.

Visual Basic and Delphi were very successful because of their component
based approach. Highly specialized/skilled developers developed these
components which a great number of application developers used. The
application developers didnt know or care how these components worked
internally, they just used them.

Tapestry also has this potential. With a solid base of components and good
documentaiton Tapestry can enable run of the mill application developer be
very productive.

p.s. congradulations Geoff, best wishes for the future.
