Hi -
We have two Tapestry newbies here. I was amazed at how fast they went up the learning (~ one week). However, a big initial challenge is wrangling all the files. I would support an approach of the anonymous components that is backward compatible with what we have with 2.2. Anonymous components eliminate one level of complexity even if we did not use them within our company. Ultimately, I would like to see the Tapestry user group size grow and grow and grow.
Just two more cents...

Hi All,
I would support Marks's thread here. We all know the Tapestry learning curve
is very steap, which hurts its uptake.
I think the proposed concept of anonomous components/pages would be great:
<html pagename="Home">
<body>
<h2>Hi <span type="Insert" expression="visit.username">John</span></h2>
</body>
</html>
This would provide an much easier entry point for your average developer.
