Yes, the idea of Tapestry Lite is to allow "shortcuts" that allow new adopters to get productive with Tapestry faster.  You'll be able to mix and match to your heart's content.  As you hit the limits of Tapestry Lite, there'll be a clean transition to Tapestry Pro? Full? Classic? Traditional? .... that's my only problem, coming up with a name, probably I'll use "Full Tapestry" in doc.

Subject: [Tapestry-developer] RE: Page or component with dynamic attributes

I saw in Tapestry wiki the page Declarative Persistent Properties in the Future Tapestry Features section. That feature is what Im looking for.

Are there any plans to implement it?

Just another question:

Will be Tapestry Lite compatible with Tapestry Pro (lack of a better name)? For instance anonymous components.

Is it possible to have a page or component with dynamic properties?

In our applications, almost 50% (maybe more) of code is in getters and setters. Im wondering about the possibility to integrate Jakarta DynaBeans to Tapestry in order to eliminate these getters and setters.

Does it make sense?

Im not sure about features overlap between ognl and dynabeans.

I think this should be a general requested feature. Did somebody implement it?

At this time we have developed three systems: an online banking and brokeragehouse, a financial auction and a webmail. Because of Tapestry uses standard technologies, it was really easy to integrate theses systems into WebLogic Portal.

Kudos to Howard for making difficult things easier for web developers.

Regards

David
