Geoff is working on getting Spindle working with Tapestry 4. I haven't done any development on Tapestry 4 (9 months on T3), so maybe T4 is easier than T3. However, with T3, Spindle when installed right checks your .html, .jwc and .application files to make sure everything is working. I find it handy as I am editting HTML and .jwc files to make sure spelling is correct and that the files are consistent. It eliminates having to find errors at run-time. I also use it to create new components.
And I am waiting to upgrade to 4.x until Spindle is available. However, I might try and convert my entire application to 4.x if I have some spare time. On the other hand , I personally never found Spindle much usefull , and I'm hearing many people saying that with tapestry 4 there isn't that big of a need for a plugin . I agree , as I wasn't using spindle even in tapestry 3 since myEclipse nudged it over and I was too lazy ( or found no benefit in fixing it ) to fix it On 12/16/05, Chris Chiappone <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Currently there isn't an eclipse plugin for tap4.
