Sorry about that, I was busy sanding a batch...oh joy, the glamorous life of 
a builder.

You're right, it is difficult without looking at it. Truss rods are designed 
for subtle adjustments. Turns are measured in 1/4s at the most. 1/4 turn 
then look, feel how easy it adjusts then decide upon another 1/4 turn. If 
you're truss rod is already really tight then you have to be very careful 
regarding trying to adjust it in case you snap it or push through the 
neck...Yikes!

If the bridge has any adjustment to lower it then you could but don't sand 
it, you'll change the dynamics of the tone. It's difficult to say without 
getting my hands on it but it may be time for either a heat straightening of 
the neck or replaning the fingerboard.
