When I first strated ot use Taverna i was under the impression that the BeanShell editor was just the same as any other java based editor. But, in 1.7 it's not. There is no testing functionality, debug console, text highlighting, auto-completion of braces, *line numbers*, method look-up.... etc. I think it is these points that people want - i.e. the stuff a full text editor would give you.
