as for Soaplab services you can configure the client side polling parameters by clicking Details -> Configure on a soaplab processor. See http://www.mygrid.org.uk/usermanual1.7/soaplab_processor.html#soaplab_polling for details - note that this manual is for Taverna 1.7, but the parameters are still called the same.
