Hi Steffen,
If by "private dutch server" you mean the one from
www.bioinformatics.nl, it's a public one :), but it's not well
documented nor advertised.
There is a user and a password string you have to supply in the input,
but that is just to make sure the one downloading the results is the
same as the one who submitted the job. The service runs over https
with a self-signed certificate, which is a bit of a hassle to setup,
but you only have to do that once per server. Instructions are
available here:
https://www.bioinformatics.nl/phenolink/home/
Make sure not to skip the "Java and HTTPS manual" part. There is
currently human, rat, mouse and some farm animals. More info is
available in the serviceNotes if you execute the
[name_of_the_service]_help service with an empty input. In case you
plan to submit a lot of jobs you might want to use
dev.bioinformatics.nl instead. It currently runs exactly the same
version as the production server, but your jobs will less easily cause
a high load and hence you will less easily run into a brick wall :).
There is BLAST (async) and BLAT (sync), but no SSAHA. If you have any
questions let me know...
Cheers,
Pi
