Well, it depends on what type of "grid" you refers to. Taverna does not preclude the possibility to run parallel activities -- we use it to run caGrid workflows. But if you are thinking of submitting jobs to condor or other job schedulers, I do not think Taverna has built-in support (while you can extend)
