Hello Taverna Folks
I'm investigating Taverna.
I'm processing some genomes. In particular, I'm finding all highly
similar genes between some pairs of genomes. I'm considering using
Taverna to help manage these workflows.
I've written some (Perl) programs that process the genomes and save
the results in a DBMS. It seems that there would a couple of
approaches to solving this problem with Taverna:
1. Use existing services to obtain the genomes, find similar genes and
store the results in a DBMS.
2. Configure one or more of my programs as custom Taverna services,
and use them in a Taverna workflow.
3. Solve the problem without Taverna.
Thus I'm looking for guidance or documentation on locating appropriate
services, and/or incorporating custom programs as Taverna services.
Could I have some help with this please?
Thanks
A
