Hi all,
I tried to launch Taverna using Java7, but I have problems with the
Credential manager.
I follow the next steps:
1) Install Java7
2) Change Taverna.sh, to run taverna using java7:
#javabin=java
javabin=/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-oracle/bin/java
#if test -x "$JAVA_HOME/bin/java"; then
# javabin="$JAVA_HOME/bin/java"
#fi
3) Install the Java Cryptography Extension for Java7: I downloaded the .zip
file, and after unzip it I copy the *.jar files into /usr/lib/security
(before, I make a backup of the previous *.jar which are for Java6)
4) I remove the directory .taverna-2.4.0/ in order to create a new keystore
for the credential (I thought the password generated using the JCE for
java6 does not work with the JCE for Java6)
6) I start Taverna and I apply all the plugin updates
5) I re-start Taverna, but when I try to create a new credential password
(Advanced > Credential Manager), I got the message: Failed to generate a
new empty Keystore. (In log: ERROR 2013-09-04 18:56:34,370
(net.sf.taverna.t2.workbench.ui.credentialmanager.CredentialManagerUI:211)
- Failed to generate a new empty Keystore.)
Have you experienced something similar? Do you have any idea what is wrong?
I will be very grateful for some idea or tip.
