Hi!
I have found a few research papers on workflow monitoring but didn’t find their
implementation. If I can not monitor complete workflow execution, can I just
monitor the final outputs?

Not as part of standard Taverna. You would need to implement a plugin
that had classes that extended ResultListener and FacadeListener.

Different systems do things differently - so it is unlikely that there
is a generic mechanism. It is possible that there is something related
to the W3 PROV standard that several systems (including Taverna) are
implementing.
