I finally received a reply from Smartermail. SmarterTools replied and said they use UID by default with the IMAP protocol. The issues with Outlook are because it has invlaid UID errors, nothing to do with SmarterMail. Can you try connecting with the email client that's having the issue and let me know when you have and what the exact error is? I can then check the logs and give this to SmarterTools.
