I will assume that TheBat! has a modular architecture. So, if there is an 
additional feature you don't want to use, you just don't use it. It won't have 
any effect on the features that you do want to use and cherish.

If you don't want to see this feature in the main program, maybe we can 
persuade Stefan to make it an optional plug-in, what do you think?

And by the way, I will also assume that it will be tested - first the in-house 
alpha testing and then the beta testing on this very list.
