Hi Stefan,

On 02 January 2002 at 19:34:51 [GMT-0600] (which was 01:34 where I
live) Stefan Zauchenberger wrote to Januk Aggarwal and made these
points:

SZ> Thank you for the response. I had suspected that compressing and
SZ> purging the folders might help. I have tried this multiple times
SZ> now, and it has not corrected the problem. Any other ideas that I
SZ> might try?

It's just the Inbox that's going to be at fault. I have no other
ideas. Disk fragmentation? Too many messages left in the inbox (mine
has 0 of ~175000 messages stored in the inbox - they are all
filtered).

SZ> Also, I do find the option to "Compress all folders on exit"
SZ> anywhere in the interface.

That's a new option which has been introduced in the 1.54 beta series.
You won't find it in the 1.52f you're using.
