The improvement has to come in the address book. That macro stream relies heavily on the Address Book supplying "something useful" along the way so that addressing can be personalised. Here's what that macro is effectively saying: First look up the Address Book and find the first matching entry that mentions the "To" address. See if there is a name in the %NamePrefix. If so, use it. No? Look at the Handle and use that if it's present. If not, go for the FirstName field. Okay, still no joy? Check to see if we have an AB record for the original sender and use their First Name from there. If that still hasn't given us anything, the final port of call is the First Name from the current "To" field. So now it's just a matter of making sure that all AB entries have a First Name that can be easily used. If the first name isn't what you would want to use in a "Dear xxx" line, then put that in the Handle. You've already used that for something more important? No problem Use the NamePrefix field instead. If this doesn't suit, you can always subvert another AB field and use that in the macro stream instead.
