Since you are running Windows 98, your drive if formatted using either
FAT or FAT32. If you are running FAT, the maximum file size is 2GB, so
your message base can't exceed that. For FAT32, the maximum is 4GB.

On NTFS, the maximum file size is determined by the drive size. The
maximum size of a NTFS drive is 256TB (terrabytes).

There may be some built-in limitations in The Bat!
