Can you say that for the individual you gave that advice to?
Having been in the tech support field for an ISP for over three years I
learned one thing fast. There's the easy way, the right way and the way that
works for most people. When giving advice on the phone or in public I always
try for the right way, the way that works for most people and then the easy
way.
More often than not the right way and the way that works for most people
are one and the same while the easy way works only some of the time... at
best. ;)
