I don't think that TB has the ambition to appeal to the broadest
market - leave that to M$ & Co. TB is more for the "power user",
people who expect more from their email client than just showing
colourful HTML pages (sorry sarcasm). - Oh Gawd, I am agreeing with
Steve!!! ;-)

Some people like vim, some people like WinEdt, some people emacs, and
others even like TB's internal editor. :-)

I agree; easy to implement, not bloating.

I have never used emacs - what does it do (except for not having the
free claret feature) that TB's editor doesn't?
