Hello TBUDLs, I've received a response from RIT Labs which suggests that the problem with the key block is that I'm using the wrong key block. They will re-send the original keyblock for the name and email address I provided them in the return email I just sent. No mention was made as to why the first 56 characters of the (apparently wrong) keyblock appear before I even get a chance to paste in the entire (again, apparently wrong) keyblock.
Their "solution" for the message-display-delay was to download and install v6.0.12 which supposedly will accept the original 5.2 keyblock. I assume they're referring to the one they send me. I am seriously considering buying an authorized copy ($99 from Newegg) of Windows 7 and trashing Windows 8 on this new machine.
