Given that I archive the lot I separate them into UDL and BETA and
have them further broken down into more manageable lumplets. I have
found that after about 10k messages the folders start to slow down
considerably.
Then there's the folders for off-list contact, moderation issues,
administration issues (one for the servers and one for the lists) and
bounce messages. In all the TB branch of my folder hierarchy holds
~30k messages.
IOW - you may have asked the wrong person <g>.
