I have it like this, except I sort on Received time for most folders
due to egroups being a bit strange on the creation time front.

In the view folder (which I don't normally use) do you have it
threaded or not?
I do prefer to follow the threads but can see I'm going to have to
not. It wouldn't be so bad if I could space-bar my way through the
unread messages, but I end up having to use a weird combination of
tabs, CTRL-]'s, CTRL-+'s and sometimes have to resort to the mouse to
ensure I am at the top of the message list.
Is there no expand all threads option either?
