But received time depends on when you fetched mail, so
that's even more mangled.

No, as I explained above: there I have them ordered
chronologically, so that I can read mail (and threads)
'upwards in time'.

Yes: Ctrl-* will do the trick.

The one command that's lacking is the 'Close all threads'.
