I don't know much about S/MIME; others can hopefully explain
it better than I can. But it's nt a protocol that is as
widely accepted and used as PGP, and you need to register at
a price.

<grin> I've noticed often that checking basics is
important.And yes, I have seen people complaining anout PGP
not working with their mailer while not having installed it,
thinking that the mail program would take care of it...
