Typically, e-mails in html or enriched text are frowned
upon. So no, TB doesn't support italics, bold etc text.
Personally, I *like* that in TB. (When I want to stress
something, I do it like *this* or like _this_.)

You can receive html'ised e-mail, and TB will show it
nicely, but you con't send it.
