You know, I'm still somewhat confused as to what the best Account
configuration settings would be for GMX. Based on what others have
suggested, here are my current settings:

SMTP Server: mail.gmx.net with SMTP Authentication checked
POP3 Server: pop.gmx.net but no "POP before SMTP"
User: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Wolfgang, you mentioned:

Is that the same as "SMTP Authentication RFC2554? If so, then I already
have that checked.

I find I *have* to use my entire address [EMAIL PROTECTED] otherwise I
cannot connect. Is there any harm in using the complete address? Perhaps I
can use only my User ID "andriash" by changing some of the configuration
settings?

At the moment, all seems to be working properly. Their Server isn't as
fast as OperaMail was, but it certainly seems to be more reliable. :o)

Thanks for everyone's help on this....

Nick
