Thank you Thomas, you were quite right. I found the errant "sent" copies
in other "Sent" folders. That still leaves me with a few questions...
1) If the different filters didn't share any common "strings", why would a
higher filter catch - and keep - mail not meant for it?
2) Should I choose the "Continue processing with other filters" option for
all but the last filter?
3) Or, is there some other type of "string" I should include with each
filter to make them more accurate?
At this point, my outgoing filters are very simple - like this:
Move messages to: destination folder
String: email address
Location: recipient
Presence: yes
I tried them also with my sending address in the "Alternatives" section,
under "sender", but that in itself didn't stop sent messages from being
copied to the incorrect folders.
What else might I have missed?
