Are you aware that the filter action to delete the message from the server
isn't immediately executed and is actually carried out during the next
mail check?
IOW's, do another mail check and then recheck the server to see if the
messages have been deleted.

Also, please avoid starting a new topic by replying to a message. A lot of
us thread our messages and your message will be inappropriately associated
with the message which you replied to when it's really not intended as a
reply. This makes you run the risk of some helpful members uninterested in
the thread your message ends up not reading your message. Not to mention
the fact that it messes up the content of threads. :-)
