I can only try.

His main concern seems to be that he is testing cable modem for two
weeks and doesn't know if he will stick to this ISP/cable. So, he
doesn't want to unsub his old address, resub with the new address, and
perhaps eventually unsub the cable address and resub hie old address.

That is why I use a freemail service for mailing lists: If anything
changes with my ISP or Web hosting service or my domains (I've got
three with the ability to have about 100 POP3 e-mail addresses and
infinite forwarding addresses), I don't have to go through endless
unsub-resub processes.

As a complication, one of his ISP's (DUN) does not allow relaying as
an anti-spam measure.

His sending problem seems to be solved now, since all his mails came
through.

Hopefully I could clear up the situation slightly?!
