A quick search revealed that MailBag Assistant (MBA) is by Eric
Fookes. I've been a fan of NoteTab for years (IMO, the best Windows
text editor around), so I'm downloading the eval version of MBA as I

I back up to tape each week night using the standard "10-tape
rotation". So, I have three months-worth of backups without creating
additional files. Thus, the sub-directory approach may work for me --
but I'll check out MBA. Knowing Eric of old, I suspect it'll be superb
and well worth the $30 asking price.
