And remember - the way I discovered this particular strange behavior is because of an OE generated "multi-part/alternative-plain text/HTML" message that, in the HTML display, only displayed the *two* peculiar characters - the umlaut-y and this: "ž". So... I'm still wondering why my HTML viewing is acting strangely as well. In any even, I'll write to the people responsible for my email address/server, and I'll ask them about all this.
