I checked the Bat archives but I'd like some more detailed instructions on how people have configured AVG to run with The Bat! I currently have two files in my inbox that I'm pretty sure our viruses.. one titled "A Special Good Tool" and the other "Hi, Rick, Welcome to my hometown." I just downloaded AVG and run a full computer check and it came up clean. I than ran another just on the whole Bat directory, still clean. The question I have is, even if these aren't viruses, what is the best way to set up AVG to just scan for e-mail viruses. I heard some mention that you need to have the attachments go into a separate folder vs staying within the message. Is that true? or should AVG still pick up the viruses if you keep the attachments within the message body? What I don't want happening is all the messages to be downloaded and then my brother or wife (who both you my computer with the Bat) to be able to click on a virus-infected attachment before AVG has a chance to check it.
If there are any other decent virus checkers that work well with the Bat (preferably free:), please let me know. -- Rick mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] "As we were driving, we saw a sign that said 'Watch for Rocks.' Marta said it should read 'Watch for Pretty Rocks.' I told her she should write in her suggestion to the highway department, but she started saying it was a joke - just to get out of writing a simple letter! And I thought I was lazy!" -Jack Handey ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60c FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
