I suspect that you've missed something because TB has the most
powerful filtering of any MUA that I've encountered. If you're trying
to create a filter that automatically sends messages from particular
senders to Trash, try this:

1. From the Account menu, choose Sorting Office/Filters
2. Select Incoming Mail
3. Click New
4. Give the filter a name (e.g. KillFile)
5. In "Move message to folder", enter the Trash folder
6. Set up the filter so that the Strings=the sender's email address;
   Location=Sender; Presence=Yes
7. Click the Actions tab, then click "Mark the message as read"

You can add several email addresses to this "kill file" by entering
the second and subsequent addresses in the Alternatives tab.

Also, check through the list of actions that you can perform -- you'll
see that you can also delete the message and a whole lot more.

Hint: You can scroll down most of the tabs of the Sorting Office to
get at a wealth of options.
