I know this. Otherwise it would just be a matter of filling the sender
or recipient address in the signal strings dialog. Maybe a couple
examples of the filters I use will help.

I have a filter setup that will check the sender address for all
messages from TBUDL. It will check to see if the sender address is
listed in one of my address book groups. If the sender address isn't
listed there, then I've specified that it should add the address.

I have another filter setup that will move all messages from senders
whose addresses are listed in a particular address book group to a
particular folder and to assign them to a particular colour group.

No problem. I just have a sneaking feeling that what you wish to do is
what I'm referring to but we aren't yet understanding each other.
Maybe I'm wrong but I'm not convinced yet since you seem to be saying
the same thing each time.
